Based in Battersea South London, Locate Productions consists of a highly qualified and energetic team of location managers, scouts and photographic producers. We specialise in finding, organising and managing locations for film, television, photography and events. Examples of recent projects can viewed on our portoflio pages.
Initially, you would need to provide us with a brief, outlining the requirements for your project. The brief could take the form of a sketched layout, a storyboard, a script or simply a verbal description. We can then provide you with an estimate that summarises the various costs, expenses and the time it will take.
We have a large location library on line which can be viewed by anyone and gives access to a diverse mix of locations, ranging from stylish apartments to derelict warehouses, mountain roads to underground tunnels. The library can be searched by category, keyword or area and as you browse it is possible to save potential locations by creating your own 'light box'. The 'light box' can then be viewed, edited and emailed to clients and colleagues alike.
If we do not have the location you require in our library, we can scout new locations. Where possible, we will supply a range of options specifically suited to your brief. We will photograph the locations showing various camera angles, working area and, where necessary, sun direction and dimensions. The shots can then be added to a private page on our web site, unique to your project.
Once the location is found, we'll continue to liaise with the owner of the location, confirming the fee, forming the contract and organising access times and arrangements. We can also take responsibility for other permissions, which may include mediating with local authorities, police, residents and businesses. There may be other issues we can take care of such as crew and unit parking, cherry picker licenses, the use of water hydrants and security. We are also able to manage the location on the day of the shoot, ensuring the location meets your requirements, is sufficiently protected and ensuring that all access and faciilities are put in place.
Not only do we source locations, but we can also help with other parts of your jobs. Every year we produce numerous photographic shoots here in London and in the UK, and have worked in every continent but one, the Antarctic! We have good relationships with a wide range of equipment rental and transport companies. We can source, brief, oversee and manage crew, casting, model making, set building, lighting, SFX, styling etc. We can look after all your usual requirements and more.
Our website has the facility to create private web pages that are tailored to your specific project; one click on a web link will enable you to view the layouts, locations, wardrobe, props, set building, model making and casting etc as well as downloadable schedules, call sheets and other documents. Access to the private web pages requires a confidential password, so is only accessed by individuals associated with your project.
