Less Carbon, More Impact: Our Commitment in Practice
26 June 2025

Low-carbon thinking has become second nature to our production process. While the AdGreen Carbon Calculator is used to track the footprint of each shoot once it's complete, the real value lies in how it's shaped the way we work. Over time, it’s helped us embed low-carbon choices into our day-to-day, from how we brief suppliers and crew to how we move people and materials we use.
Being recognised as a Superuser again in 2024 is a reflection of how we’re using data, insight and accountability to make smarter, lower-impact decisions with every production. This sits alongside our broader commitments as a Registered B Corp and 1% for the Planet member, as we continue to evolve what responsible production looks like.

Leading By Example
The top 20 Superusers completed an average of 67 Final Footprints in 2024, a 5% increase on 2023 — a sign that more and more of the industry is putting carbon data at the heart of production planning. At Locate, the calculator is part of our standard workflow: we use it on every production to inform decisions early, brief suppliers and crew more clearly and communicate the carbon impact of a shoot to our clients.
“Being recognised as an AdGreen Superuser is a real point of pride for us, not just because it acknowledges the effort we put in behind the scenes, but because it shows that low-carbon production is possible, even in a high-pressure industry like ours.”

What We’re Doing
Here are some of the measures we’ve adopted since embedding the carbon calculator into our process:
-
Reducing travel emissions by using local crew and kit
-
Using public transport and car-pooling where possible
-
Minimising air travel
-
Prioritising vegetarian/vegan catering and locally sourced food
-
Reducing set build and wardrobe waste through reuse and sustainable choices
-
Briefing clients with low-carbon thinking from the outset
