BBN Day in Nature: Our collective journey outdoors
11 April 2025
This year, we partnered with the Better Business Network (BBN) to deliver an immersive Day in Nature as part of their South Summit. It was a moment for connection, reflection and rewilding.
Together, we stepped away from the screens and meeting rooms and spent time walking, breathing, sharing and reconnecting with the natural world around us.
Why this day matters
For organisations committed to purpose and impact, time in nature isn’t just a nice-to-have, it’s essential. By stepping outside the confines of offices and conference halls, we give teams the space to slow down, reflect on what matters and rediscover what connects us: our shared humanity, our shared planet.
The Day in Nature was about more than a walk in the woods. It was an invitation to listen, to feel, to reconnect. It offered a chance to realign values, deepen our sense of belonging, and imagine what kind of companies we truly want to be: ones that recognise that business and nature are deeply intertwined and mutually dependent.
What happened on the day
Individuals and teams came together for mindful walks, conversations and shared locally sourced food.
We created space for reflection exploring how personal wellbeing, team culture and environmental stewardship are all part of the same journey.
Participants reconnected with the rhythms of nature, reminding us all of the power of stillness, community, and purpose beyond profit.
What we learned
Nature has a powerful way of grounding us. In the stillness of trees, the freshness of air, and the calm of open space, we found clarity, inspiration and renewed energy.
Shared experience in nature builds trust, empathy and cohesion, things that boardroom meetings seldom achieve.
Taking time out of business-as-usual to reconnect with the natural world strengthens our capacity to act consciously, for people, for planet and for future generations.
