Planting for the Future: A Day in Nature in the South Downs
03 November 2026
Join us on Saturday 21st November at Westerlands in West Sussex for a day of tree planting, nature connection and community.
We're joining Forests Without Frontiers and Weald to Waves to plant another 1,000 trees at Westerlands, building on the 1,000 planted here in spring and contributing to the restoration of nature in the South Downs.
But it's about more than planting trees. It's an opportunity to step away from the everyday, spend time outdoors and reconnect with the natural world, while making a positive contribution to the landscape around us.
With tree planting, live music and food, it'll be a chance to get involved, meet like-minded people and enjoy a day immersed in nature.
Come and be part of it!
There are 50 free places available for individuals and families (ages 13+), supported by the Sustainable Communities Fund of the South Downs National Park and the South Downs Trust.
Businesses are encouraged to make a donation to Forests Without Frontiers to support their ongoing work restoring nature.
