Macallan

We were delighted when Wunderman Thompson approached us to produce this magical campaign in the northern region of Spain. It's rare to receive a brief that relies solely on the location to deliver the concept, and better-still a concept dependant on nothing but the natural world. 

We spent four days in the Basque region as the client wanted to shoot an oak forest where Macallan get their Sherry casks from. So we, with American-landscape photographer Ted Gore, went off-grid shooting various foliage, moss, roads and tracks in order to deliver these juxtaposed pathways. It was essential that the location scouting be meticulous, and our shoot schedule be generous in order to revisit locations at different times of the day to allow for the ever-changing weather.
